The 3D-print construction of two unique duplexes started in Dubbo today.
The walls of the properties are being 3D printed in concrete, a move which is expected to slash traditional construction time from 40 weeks to just 16 weeks.
The use of 3D printing is part of a broader strategy by the Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) to boost the supply of affordable housing across NSW.
The Sector Visioning Workshop (SVW) co-hosted by the Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO), the NSW Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC), and the Aboriginal Community Housing Industry Association (ACHIA), concluded with an enhanced commitment to support Aboriginal Community Housing Providers (ACHPs) across New South Wales.

Grant amount: up to $250,000 for each community
The Energy Efficiency Program is providing up to $250,000 to eligible Aboriginal Community Housing Providers (ACHPs) to deliver heating and cooling solutions. This includes things like the installation of new solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, heat pump hot water systems, reverse cycle air conditioners or ceiling fans.

The Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) has announced Wildflower Gardens for Good (Wildflower) as the successful recipient of its Leading Community Demonstration Site (LCDS) funding for 2024–2027.
Status: Applications are now live. Grants close at 5pm on 14 November 2024.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the grant, you must be able to show that your organisation is either:
• National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH) or New South Wales Local Scheme (NSWLS) registered ACHPs.
• Aboriginal Community Housing Organisations (ACHOs) registered with the AHO.
