AHO Energy Efficiency Program

Grant amount: up to $250,000 for each community

About the program

The Energy Efficiency Program is providing up to $250,000 to eligible Aboriginal Community Housing Providers (ACHPs) to deliver heating and cooling solutions. This includes things like the installation of new solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, heat pump hot water systems, reverse cycle air conditioners or ceiling fans.

Eligibility  

To be eligible for the grant, you must be able to show that your organisation is registered as:

  • an Aboriginal Community Housing Provider (ACHP) under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH) or New South Wales Local Scheme (NSWLS).
  • an Aboriginal Community Housing Organisation (ACHO) with the AHO.

If your organisation is not yet registered, you will need to apply and be approved for transitional registration with the AHO for the duration of the Energy Efficiency Program using the AHO Assessment form for placement on the AHO Provider Register
